Family Time & Growing Baby

We've had a busy month of watching Caleb grow and also spending time with our family.

First, we headed to northern Minnesota to spend time with my family at my grandparent's cabin in Akeley. It's was Caleb's first extended car trip (about a 3 hour drive) and he did so well!  He slept most of the way.  He even was a champ when we were completely stopped on I-94 because of a car accident.  At the cabin, Caleb got to spend time with all of his cousins, and there are a lot of them.  My sister and her husband, Tate, were up with their daughter Avery (2 1/2) and triplets, Drake, Trey and Reese (14 months).  Also, my brother and his wife, Jen, were there with their twins, Hadley and Kellan (8 months).  While we were at the cabin, Caleb was a little fussy.  I think it was because he wanted to go and play with all his cousins and his parents kept holding him.  :) We were lucky enough to get a picture of all the cousins together.

Craziness!!!  :)
Also, Caleb blessed has us with some smiles and giggles!  It made my heart melt to see his gummy grin.  :)  Here's a picture that we snapped of Caleb smiling a couple weeks ago:

Also, here's a video of him playing on his play mat:

We also got to spend time with Patrick's family this month as well.  Patrick's parents, Joe and Karen, have been traveling around Michigan and Minnesota this summer to escape the Florida heat and they spent the last 2 weeks with us.  We've really enjoyed having them and they have been such a huge help around the house helping with dishes, laundry, cleaning, etc!!!  Also, we'll miss the amazing dinners cooked up by Joe when they leave this coming Monday.

We also had a visit from Patrick's brother, Tim, along with Tim's wife, Darlene, and daughter Sammy.  We had such a great time with them!  While they were here we visited the Mill City Farmer's Market in downtown Minneapolis at the old Gold Medal Flour Mill:

Today, Caleb had his 2 month well-child exam.  He's still very, very healthy and is growing a lot.  He weighed 14 lbs. 10 oz. (95th percentile) and was 24 inches long (90th percentile).  Big boy!  He also got some of his shots...this made both Caleb scream, which then made Mom cry.  He did such a good job though!

Here's a picture of Caleb on his 2 month birthday (8/25/11).  It's amazing how much he's changed!
Smiley guy :)
Such a big boy!!!
